Chips de Legumes no Forno

Se há coisa que gosto é de rentabilizar o uso do forno o mais que possível. Sou daquelas pessoas que teria imensa dificuldade em viver sem forno, porque o uso com muita frequência, seja verão ou inverno. Mas gosto de fazer um uso responsável, e portanto, usar o forno de uma vez só – ou quando se liga – para fazer logo várias coisas, ou a refeição completa. E isso é pratica comum cá em casa. 

Sempre que faço pão, aproveito para outras coisas, como um bolo ou bolachas ou queques para os miúdos, ou mesmo aproveitar o forno ligado do jantar para fazer pão ou vice versa. E ainda usar o forno para cozinhar a refeição completa.

E estas chips de legumes são óptimas para acompanhamentos, e para usar para fazer o acompanhamento ao mesmo tempo que se cozinha o resto. Foi basicamente o que aconteceu este fim de semana!

Ingredientes para 4 pessoas:

2 beterrabas

3 cenouras

4 batatas

sal q.b.

azeite q.b.

alecrim fresco q.b.

Preparação:

Descascar as cenouras e as batatas. Descascar também as beterrabas cruas, com cuidado e colocando-as à parte, para não mancharem tudo com o seu pigmento característico.

Com uma mandolina, cortar as batatas e as cenouras em rodelas finas – chips e colocar numa taça. Cortar depois também a beterraba e colocar numa taça à parte. Temperar ambas com um pouco de azeite, e sal e umas folhas de alecrim e misturar bem para envolver os temperos.

Forrar o tabuleiro do forno com papel vegetal ou usar um tapete de silicone e espalhar de um lado a mistura de batata e cenoura, e do outro a beterraba, e levar ao forno previamente aquecido a 200ºC com ventilação, cerca de 40 minutos, mas ir mexendo várias vezes (de 10 em 10 minutos) a mistura de legumes, de modo a que as chips fiquem crocantes. Das primeiras vezes, para não ficar tudo manchado da cor da beterraba misturar separadamente, mas depois poderá misturar tudo junto.

Ao fim desse tempo as chips deverão estar crocantes (se achar que estão a queimar, reduza a temperatura do forno para 180ºC).

Retire, tempere com um pouco mais de sal de necessário e sirva como acompanhamento.
